Fieldcamp's interest in money and markets led him to Cornell University's undergraduate business school, where he majored in Applied Economics with a specialization in Finance. To date, he has worked in finance, holding roles at both a big investment management firm and boutique investment banks.

 

Alex Fieldcamp is happy that his mother is a Cuban immigrant who came to the United States as a child to begin a new life. Fieldcamp has had multiple opportunities to visit his family in Cuba, where he has learned more about his ancestors. On one of his excursions, he drove from Havana to Santiago across the length of the island, a journey he recalls clearly to this day. Fieldcamp was born and reared in New York City.

Alexander Fieldcamp is grateful that his mother is a Cuban immigrant who came to America as a youngster to start a new life. Fieldcamp visited his family in Cuba several times and learned more about his ancestors. On one of his adventures, he travelled from Havana to Santiago by car, a journey he vividly recalls to this day.
